HOMICIDE AND MAJOR CASE
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Homicide and Major Case Investigations is designed for current Detectives looking to expand their knowledge base and refine their existing skills.
Homicide investigation is often taught by retired command staff who supervised past murder cases. Attendees leave the training thinking that was a great case study presented, but unless I encounter the same circumstances, how is this applicable to my potential cases?
The Detective Academy, instead, is presented by current Major Crimes DETECTIVES who will impart the skills and knowledge by having:

1) Attendees learn how to conduct a death investigation from beginning to end using real cases.
2) Attendees exposed to major case crime studies necessitating the use of large-scale lead management, and the most current law enforcement tools.
Upon completion, attendees will have the tools and confidence to investigate homicide and other major violent crime.
